I found this article earlier today through a link on Drudge Report. Pretty interesting in how Facebook is somewhat censoring what content they do allow and what content the don't. It seems that during the Egyptian uprisings we didn't hear about this happening at all but when the Palestinians use social media to organize their people, we see a different outcome.

I would love to hear what you all think about this also.

ReplyDeleteFree speech - The first thing to go in a dictatorship.
ReplyDeleteKing Zuckerberg!
ReplyDeleteAs a private website, they have the right to do this, but it is disheartening considering just how popular it has become as a mode of communication.
If we look at it as if it another communications tool like the phone or email was, can we imagine this sort of behavior from the telecoms so early in their rollout period worldwide? (Or at all, for that matter) Some food for thought, maybe.
